Fave lil’ preworkout swim snack. Small bag of sea salt popcorn and a super short hazelnut latte with coconut milk.
I don’t rely on the caffeine to push my workout. I drink decafeinnated tea seven days a week. The occasional latte is a nice way to warm up for these chilly LA night swims. I usually consume eighty ounces of water throughout my work day. So by the time I hit the pool later I’m pretty hydrated. Thinning out any heart rushing effects compliments of Starbucks.
I work inside all day. So it’s especially nice when I can pop out for some food and fresh air. Erewhon was in my sights. Decided to make the trek.
Light appetite. On the menu. Mock tuna. Brown rice crackers with a black sesame twist. A bottle of electrolytes. And a lovely lime tart. Plantbased baby! All day. Errrrrr…day.
Reading more. Talking less. Juice in between. Life scenes.

After yoga. Happy hour. The other one. Post workout recovery vibe. Although I don’t view yoga as a workout. And never will. But that’s a conversation to be had on a Wednesday in the second month of June. Besides I’ve lent out all of the blue soapboxes for the day. Dig on your inner peace. There is no lease. Only life. Not channeling Buddha. More like booyah! I’m gon.’

After a hip opening while using lots of props Flow Basics yoga class with Molly over at Wanderlust Hollywood I was starved. Headed over to Urban Masala for some Indian grub.
Snagged a masala bowl with rice, saag tofu and Chana masala. It was all kinds of steamy fresh tasting deliciousness. Completely demolished it.
Added two samosas on the side. They were more than just a little overdone. Kinda sucks because I love samosas. Managed to scrape out the insides. Dig tamarind sauce. Hold the mint. Only my second visit. Will be back. I’m a sucker for fluffy rice and perfectly spiced chickpeas.
Crazy downpour. Nonstop. Lunch vibes. Didn’t brown bag it today. Braved the rain anyway. Puddle dodging. Headed towards the land known as Veggie Grill.
Ordered my usual take on their Buffalo Bomber. I flip it into a spinach wrap and add avocado and tempeh bacon. Yukon gold fries extra crispy. No seasoning. Chris always makes sure my food comes out right.
Parked it underneath a heating lamp on the patio. Too much chitter chatter inside. Soul settled outside. Natural vibes.
Food arrived. Wrap was more massive looking than I last remembered. A few bites in I realized why. Kitchen had added actual tempeh instead of the much tastier bacon. All faux meat of course. Mistake still. I didn’t trip. Nor did I send it back. Ate the other half. Thought about the weekend. And nothing else. Besides the sun was now out.
