I know it’s summer. But one of my fave meals to eat is a bowl of oatmeal and a piece of fresh fruit. It holds me in between meals and keeps the sweet cravings at bay.
I love Trader Joe’s Quick Cook Steel Oats. The whole eight minute cook vibe is part of its appeal. These days it seems I have less and less time. So gotta grab that healthy goodness on the go.
Sometimes I’ll add a half scoop of Vega Sport Performance Protein to give my system that extra recovery kick. Cinnamon is always up in the mix because of its anti-inflammatory rhythm.
Because I’m always hungry I usually snag a piece of fruit while the oats are cooking. Nothing starchy like a banana. Or too heavy on the citrus vibe like an orange. An apple or peach always fills the void without upsetting my stomach. This lovely nectarine was the fruit of choice the other morning.
